John James Anderson is an arts writer, curator, and interdisciplinary artist living and working in Michigan. In 2017 he was selected for the Art Writing Workshop—a partnership between the Arts Writers Grant Program and the International Art Critics Association/USA Section (AICA/USA). He has written for Washington City Paper, The Washington Times, DCist, Art in America, and re:sculpt.

Prior to moving to Michigan, he was an arts professor, living and working in Washington, DC. He taught at Prince George’s Community College, for five years, where he was appointed to program coordinator of Visual Communication in 2013, a position he held until his departure in 2015. In that position he co-coordinated ConFABulation, a symposium on 3D Printing in the classroom, and helped the department acquire its first dozen 3D printers. He also taught at American University, George Washington University, George Mason University, and the Corcoran College of Art + Design.
